The following students have been named to the Spring 2016 Dean's List at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking 12 or more credit hours. Students earning recognition for the Dean's List are:

McMurry University student artists received awards at the 2016 McMurry Student Art Competition, a juried exhibit of artwork now on display in the Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Gallery.The entries were judged by local Abilene artists Steve Neves and Taysha Benson.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

The McMurry University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta inducted new members of Alpha Lambda Delta and Alpha Chi Honor Societies in Ryan Recital Hall on Tuesday, April 29, at 4 pm. The freshmen inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta earned a GPA of at least 3.5 during their first semester at McMurry, while the juniors and seniors inducted into Alpha Chi stand in the top 10% of their respective classes. The following students are members of McMurry's chapter of Alpha Chi.

The University of Scranton has announced it's Dean's List, which recognizes students for academic excellence during the 2013 fall semester. The list includes students from the Jesuit university's College of Arts and Sciences, the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies and the College of Graduate and Continuing Education.
